What Are the Best Fat Loss Workouts?

I was talking to my girlfriend yesterday about the best fat loss workouts. For some reason she thinks that she can get away with doing her Saturday morning “light weight – high rep” classes at the gym. But I told her that she’s wasting her time. If she wants to lose fat she needs to use heavier weights, essentially increasing her workout intensity, and that she can burn more calories, while sculpting more lean muscle. I don’t know what it is with women and their belief that light weights and lots of reps will keep them long and lean. I guess its urban folklore.
